I have been working as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon for the over 15 years, specialising in hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder disorders.
I perform most common hand surgical procedures, including carpal tunnel release and surgery for Dupuytren's contracture. I specialise in non-surgical treatment of the Dupuytren’s contracture called Collagenase(Xiapex) injections.
I also have a special interest in joint replacements of the hand, wrist and elbow joints for degenerative arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. I offer surgery for arthritis of the thumb including Trapeziectomy and the latest treatment called Cartive, where cartilage is replaced with special cartilage implant.
My surgical field encompasses the whole of hand and upper limb surgery. I also cover trauma treatments, I specialise in hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder trauma including fractures and dislocations. I perform advanced 'keyhole' surgery for wrist, elbow and shoulder for sports injuries and degenerative disorders like osteoarthritis.
I specialise in surgery for rheumatoid arthritis for hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. I offer soft tissue procedures for tendon ruptures, tendon reconstructions and joint replacements for the rheumatoid affected joints.
In the last 15 years I have performed hundreds of surgical procedures like carpal tunnel, Dupuytrens surgery, trapeziectomies. I have performed regular arthroscopic reconstructive surgery in the wrist, elbow and shoulder, over the years with best outcomes and patient satisfaction.
I have held the educational lead position for my department in the past and am a keen educator and trainer. I am an examiner for higher surgical trainees including MRCS and FRCS at the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, UK.
I am keen on teaching surgical trainees, including specialist registrars. I have been an educational and clinical supervisor for the higher surgical trainees in the west midlands region.
I have led various innovative projects in my field including one-stop carpal tunnel clinic, one-stop shoulder clinic to optimise the outcomes to the highest.
