I graduated from India in 1983. I had 10 years of Obstetrics and Gynaecology working experience in India before completing my specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the West and East Midlands.
I have completed RCOG special skills training (module) in laparoscopic surgery (benign) and Gynaecological ultrasound scanning. I have attended the advanced laparoscopic surgery course at Hamburg, Germany and am also a RCOG faculty trainer for ultrasound scanning and in Sexual and Reproductive Health (FSRH, RCOG). He has published research in the medical management of miscarriage.
I have developed the MVA (manual vacuum aspiration) surgical evacuation technique in the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust (UHL) and been actively involved with developing ambulatory Gynaecology services within UHL. I am currently the lead clinician for the fertility control and contraception unit at UHL.
I have vast experience in benign Gynaecology. My practice philosophy is to listen, understand and discuss matters with my patients so that they can make well-informed decisions about their treatment.
