I have been a consultant gynaecologist at the University Hospitals of Leicester for over 5 years specialising in cancer/pre-cancer and advanced minimal access (keyhole) surgery. I undertook my specialist training at the Pan-Birmingham Gynaecological Cancer Centre and have completed an MSc in Clinical Oncology and a PhD in ovarian cancer research. I am a BSCCP accredited Colposcopist and have a specialist interest in the treatment of abnormal smears and pre-cancer of the cervix and vulva.
Annually I perform over 100 major gynaecological procedures, (high proportion of keyhole/robotic) as well as over 100 day-case/minor procedures and 500 colposcopy/vulval examinations/procedures.
Throughout my career I have had a passion for research. I am now an honorary Associate Professor with Cancer Studies where I lead research focusing particularly on understanding and developing new treatments for womb cancer/pre-cancer and cancer survivorship.

I am the lead robotic gynaecological surgeon for the University Hospitals of Leicester.
