I also treat all inflammatory skin diseases and specialise in children's dermatological conditions.
I trained in London and was first appointed consultant dermatologist in Leicester in 1983.
I have published 5 books, several chapters in major textbooks and well over 200 peer-reviewed papers, abstracts and reviews.
I have had a private practice for the past 34 years, primarily based at Spire Leicester Hospital. I practice conventional dermatology with a special interest in paediatric skin disorders and a bias towards inflammatory skin diseases, notably eczema, and skin cancer.
I was the lead for cutaneous lymphoma in the East Midlands and hold the title of Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Leicester. I was President of the British Association of Dermatologists 2005 - 2006 and the Editor of the British Journal Dermatology from 2000 - 2004. I was at one time heavily involved in medical management, undertaking various roles at University Hospitals of Leicester.
I was also Chairman of the Department of Health Working Party on 'Dermatology Closer to Home' 2006 - 2008.
