Professional profile

I qualified from Manchester university medical school in 1979 and following training in General Medicine, completed my specialised training in anaesthesia in Pain Medicine at the Royal London and St Bartholomew's hospital in London.

I gained my Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists in 1985 and became a Fellow of the Faculty of Pain Medicine in 1999.

My first consultant appointment was in Cheltenham and Gloucester in 1990 and I moved to University Hospitals of Leicester in 1996 where I continued to work in full time pain medicine.

In addition to a full medical assessment, I offer the following treatments: medication, physical therapies (including acupuncture) and neural blockade, including nerve block injections, and radio frequency therapy.

I also undertake Qutenza application and Botox injections for migrainous headaches.

In addition to my clinical work, I have been involved in the teaching of medical students, undergraduate and post-graduate students including running modules for the MSC in Pain Medicine at Leicester University.
