Staff Nurse – Ward 2

This is an exciting time to join Spire Leeds, we are a supportive nursing team who provide our nurses with the opportunity to develop their existing nursing skills in a multi-disciplinary environment. We are flexible with career pathways, encouraging easy access to ongoing lifelong learning to meet NMC standards. We are currently looking for a committed and flexible staff nurse to join our busy inpatient team allowing you to define your hours to suit both home and work commitments. We work annualised hours contracts, therefore we do not use e-Rostering and you are allowed a maximum of 5 requests per 4 week rota.

We believe patient support plays a critical role in delivering a positive outcome for the patient. As a member of our team you will be ward based proving assistance and information to patients as an essential part of their care. Patients benefit from this dedicated approach throughout the duration of their treatment.

In return we are looking for someone who can demonstrate their passion, enthusiasm and commitment to nursing and willingness for continuing professional development. You must be an effective communicator, organised and have the ability to make decisions.

This is a full time position for 37.5 hours per week over variable shifts days, nights and weekends.

To be successful for this position you need to be:

  • NMC registered
  • Experience working in a general surgical environment
  • Have the ability to work within a team and independently
  • Have an ability to transfer skills through a variety of specialities.
  • A recognised teaching qualification and mentorship experience is also desirable.
  • ALS certificate would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Phlebotomy/cannulation skills would be an advantage.

Staff Nurse - Outpatient Department (part time)

We have an exciting opportunity for a staff nurse to join the outpatient team at Spire Leeds Hospital. As a staff nurse you will work as part of a team to ensure a high standard of nursing care and safety for patients and all service users within the Outpatients department.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate good clinical practice at all times, assist in the organisation of clinics to ensure smooth and efficient running of the department. You will be required to carry out observations, investigations (phlebotomy), dressings, chaperoning and assisting with minor procedures.

This is a part time, 30 hours per week permanent position. Experience working within an outpatients department would be advantageous. We require a committed staff nurse to join our busy outpatient team. Flexibilty is required in relation to the shift pattern as the department is open Monday – Saturday.

Bank Staff Nurse - Oncology 

We are seeking an enthusiastic experienced chemotherapy staff nurse to work in our busy oncology/chemotherapy unit. The ideal candidate will be able to prioritise their workload effectively and be able to work under pressure. They will be both professional and personable with a passion for customer service and a desire to provide exceptional patient experience.

Bank Staff Nurses

We are looking for enthusiastic and capable nurses to join our nurse bank and help us to provide the highest quality care to meet the therapeutic needs of our patients.

Working as a bank nurse offers a flexible way of working and you can pick and choose the hours you work – early (7.30am – 3.30pm) late (12.00am – 8.00pm) and night shift (7.30pm - 8.00am) and we also offer flexible shifts around school hours and twilight shifts (7.30pm – 2.00am).

You will work as a key member of the nursing team on the inpatient and/or daycare wards caring for our patients who have undergone a variety of surgeries such as:

  • orthopaedic

  • gynaecology
  • plastic and reconstructive surgery
  • breast
  • gastrointestinal
  • hepatobiliary
  • diagnostic cardiac
