Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Merhaban Riyat at Spire include:
Audiology (hearing and tinnitus)
Hearing loss assessments - digital micro/invisible hearing aids
Tinnitus assessments and its management
Having trained at St. James’ Hospital, I qualified as an audiologist in 1989. I was involved in diagnostic and rehabilitation of patients with hearing and balance disorders and with the modernisation of NHS hearing aid services.
Over the years I developed an interest in tinnitus counselling and management. I joined the audiology team at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS in 2003 and was involved in assessments of adults with learning disabilities.
In the last 10 years I have been practising privately with special interests in digital micro and invisible hearing aids with Bluetooth and wireless connectivity and hearing protection for musicians.
I specialise in hearing and tinnitus assessments with a view to rehabilitate patients with micro/invisible digital wireless and Bluetooth hearing aids and tinnitus management. In-The-Ear monitors for musicians and ear protection for leisure, shooting, swimming and noisy industry. I also provide hearing tests, assessments and special damages reports for medico-legal cases.
