I qualified as a dentist in 1984 and in medicine at Guy's Hospital in 1992. My training included two and a half years in maxillofacial surgery and five years in general dental practice.
I spent three months in the Head and Neck unit at St Vincent's Hospital, Sydney, Australia. My ear, nose and throat training was at Guy's Hospital, Salisbury, Southampton and six years in West Yorkshire. In addition to general adult and children's ear, nose and throat disorders I have a particular interest in thyroid surgery and am the core member for Mid Yorks NHS Trust at the Leeds Thyroid Multidisciplinary Team.
