I am a Consultant Gynaecologist and an accredited sub-specialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery. Please note that I am unable to offer fertility-related consultations and assisted conception treatment at Spire Leeds Hospital. These are provided at CARE Fertility Leeds, based at Seacroft Hospital, Leeds.
I specialise in the management of gynaecological conditions such as endometriosis, ovarian cysts, fibroids, tubal disease, endometrial polyps, pelvic or intra-uterine adhesions and uterine septum. I have considerable experience in the management of menstrual disorders including heavy menstrual bleeding, painful periods and pelvic pain. I am a confident laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgeon.
I was awarded the Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree by University of Warwick for my research work defining the endometrium (lining of the womb) in obese women and for investigating if obese environment causes perturbations in the endometrium around embryo implantation. I have special clinical and research interests in recurrent miscarriage.
I am a full-time NHS consultant at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and hold an honorary senior lecturer post at the University of Leeds.
I have authored many peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. I regularly lecture at local, national and international meetings/conferences.
Please note my consultation fee for a new appointment (30 mins) is £200 and £125 (20 mins) for a follow-up appointment (correct at time of publishing, February 2022).
