I came to Hull in 2001 as a Consultant Ophthalmologist and since then have been practicing general ophthalmology with a special interest in the diagnosis and management of diseases of the vitreous and retina. I have vast experience in small incision cataract surgery. At Spire Hull and East Riding Hospital I treat general ophthalmic problems and have a special interest in cataract surgery and vitreoretinal disorders including diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, macular degeneration and macular holes.
After my basic ophthalmic training at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield (1992-1994) I completed my higher specialist training in ophthalmology at the Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre (1994-1999) to attain CCST. After that I did an intensive 18 month vitreoretinal fellowship in Bristol in both medical and surgical retinal disorders.
