I came to Hull in 2001 as a Consultant Ophthalmologist and since then have been practicing general ophthalmology with a special interest in the diagnosis and management of diseases of the vitreous and retina. I have vast experience in small incision cataract surgery. At Spire Hull and East Riding Hospital I treat general ophthalmic problems and have a special interest in cataract surgery and vitreo retinal disorders including diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, macular degeneration and macular holes.
After my basic ophthalmic training at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield (1992-1994) I completed my higher specialist training in ophthalmology at the Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre (1994-1999) to attain CCST. After that I did an intensive 18 month vitreo-retinal fellowship in Bristol in both medical and surgical retinal disorders.
