Apprentice of the year award

26 November 2018

Spire Healthcare plc, alongside its training provider CSR, recently developed an internal Apprentice of the Year Award – a scheme which identifies and celebrates talent within the independent healthcare sector and NHS. All apprentices within Spire Healthcare nominate themselves for consideration for the award, and a panel of judges whittle the group down to an overall winner and runners up. Spire Healthcare generated 70 submissions overall, and we would like to congratulate Sally Harvey from Spire Hartswood Hospital Pathology Department for being awarded runner up.

Spire Hartswood Hospital Director, Jo Dean said “I would like to say massive congratulations to Sally Harvey who was awarded runner up at the recent Apprentice of the Year award ceremony.  For the past 11 months Sally has been working towards a Lab Technician Level 3 qualification. During this time we have heard nothing but praise for Sally.  She has been awarded the merit badge for her efforts, and her tutors have drawn attention to her for outstanding commitment to her academic responsibilities.  Well done Sally, this is an amazing achievement”.

Spire Healthcare fully supports apprentice programmes across the group, seeing it as a real opportunity for people to gain relevant training and experience to allow them to progress in their careers.

Spire Healthcare Chief Executive Officer, Justin Ash said “I’d like to congratulate Sally Harvey from Spire Hartswood who last week was voted the runner up in our training provider’s internal Apprentice of the year awards. Sally is working towards a Lab Technician Level 3 qualification and I have been told that she has made excellent progress since joining the programme in January. Well done Sally, this is a fantastic achievement, you should feel very proud.”
