Mr Rob Thickpenny

Strength and Conditioning Coach

BSc (Hons)

I graduated from Brunel University in 1998 with an honours degree in Sports Science, and specialised in biomechanics and exercise physiology. Beyond my profession I also competed at an elite level in Athletics for 12 years.

I am an experienced Strength and Conditioning Coach with a demonstrated history of working with recreational and elite sports performers for 17 years. I was a former England Athletics Physical Preparation Lead where I coached and rehabilitated athletes in preparation for the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games.

I am able to provide solutions to ensure a return to sport or general wellbeing, following injury or surgery and will work closely with the physiotherapy team, sports physicians and orthopaedic consultants.
