Professional profile

I am a Consultant Gastroenterologist specialising in managing patients with a host of gastrointestinal problems including; gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, dyspepsia, gastric and duodenal ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome, anaemia, IBD, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, rectal bleeding and upper (oesophageal and gastric) and lower (small bowel, colonic, and ano-rectal) gastrointestinal cancers. My specialist area of interest is removal of colonic polyps using non-surgical methods and capsule endoscopy.

My higher specialist training in gastroenterology was at Royal London Hospital. I obtained my MRCP during my training and did clinical research at St. Mark's Hospital, one of the 13 centres recognised internationally, in advanced therapeutic polypectomy skills, which led to an MD. I am an Honorary Consultant at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge where I perform bowel cancer screening colonoscopy and also work full time as an independent provider.

I have considerable experience and expertise in endoscopic techniques. I am also an Honorary Consultant at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge where I perform bowel cancer screening colonoscopy and also work full time as an independent provider.
