Interventional ultrasound

Using ultrasound to guide procedures

What is interventional ultrasound?

Interventional ultrasound involves the use to ultrasound to guide a procedure

Why you might need it

Using ultrasound to guide your procedure means that your consultant can be guided by live images of the area.

Your consultant may refer your for an ultrasound guided injection for joint pain, or cyst aspiration.

Who will do it?

Your procedure will be carried out by one of our specialist consultant radiologists.

Our patients are at the heart of what we do and we want you to be in control of your care. To us, that means you can choose the consultant you want to see, and when you want. They'll be with you every step of the way.

All of our consultants are of the highest calibre and benefit from working in our modern, well-equipped hospital.
