How long does it all take?
Each situation is different depending on the symptoms you are presenting, as a guide a standard mammogram involving an examination of both breasts takes 15 minutes. An ultrasound scan can take up to 30 minutes and ultrasound biopsies can take up to a further 30 minutes.
How much does it cost?
Our dedicated advisers will be able to talk you through prices for each of the tests that may be required during your visit. We are unable to advise a fixed price for the rapid access breast clinic as the tests required vary from patient to patient. For more information please call our team on 01582 714 420.
Do I have to be within a certain age range?
We carry our mammograms from age 35 years upwards, however there are exceptional circumstances where they could be performed at an earlier age. If you have a family history of breast cancer or you have found a lump please contact us urgently for further details.
Will the mammogram hurt?
