Event details

Time: 6.30pm

Date: Wednesday 25 September

Speaker: Mr Venki Sundaram, Consultant Ophthalmologist

Venue: Spire Harpenden Hospital - find us

By far the most common cause of cataracts is ageing of the cells within the lens of the eye. One in three people over the age of 65 have cataracts or have had cataracts removed by surgery. Sometimes people can get them in their 40's or 50's.

Lifestyle factors such as smoking and alcohol can contribute, as well as a family history of cataracts.

Our Consultant Mr Venki Sundaram will be presenting on cataracts and the treatments available. There will also be time available to ask any questions you may have.

The format of the evening is as follows:

6.30pm – Arrival

Please make your way to our main reception and you will be directed to our restaurant area.

Tea, coffee and water will be available.

7pm – Mr Sundaram’s presentation will start, followed by some time for questions.

8pm – (approx) Finish
