I qualified from the King Edward Medical University (Mayo Hospital) in 1996 and trained at various prestigious urology institutions, which include the stone units at the Western General Hospital, Edinburgh, St George’s Hospital, Tooting and Guy’s Hospital, London. After completing my specialist training in urology at the London/Kent Sussex and Surrey deanery, I developed my interest in urinary stone disease and endourology. I was awarded the Fellowship in Urology from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2010. In 2011, I also obtained a Fellowship from the European Board of Urology, Belgium.

In 2014, I was appointed as a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Surrey and Sussex Hospital NHS trust, sub-specialising in urinary tract stone disease. I am also the clinical stone lead and have been responsible for establishing the lithotripsy service at Crawley Hospital.

My expertise includes percutaneous renal surgery, extra-corporeal lithotripsy and ureterorenoscopy. Furthermore, I have also developed the Template Prostate Biopsy Service and more than 150 patients have undergone this procedure at Surrey and Sussex NHS Trust.

Apart from being the audit lead of the unit, I have wide academic interests with various publications on the management of lower urinary tract symptoms, erectile dysfunction, bladder/prostate cancer diagnostics and percutaneous management of renal stone disease. My other clinical interests include minimally invasive treatments for prostatic disease, endoscopic management of superficial bladder cancers, urological laser surgery and erectile dysfunction.
