Mr Prashant Meshram
Inpatient Team Lead Physiotherapist
MSc Physiotherapy
Specialises in
I have been a physiotherapist for 19 years and have enjoyed working across various elite and international sports. I have had the pleasure of working at the 2012 London Olympics. More recently I have enjoyed working on the COVID wards during the pandemic at East Surrey Hospital. My flexibility, adaptability and approach to learning new things has given me the edge to work through changing work environments.
My special interest within sports injuries is ACL rehabilitation. I have worked with top consultants in our area. Getting a player back to their sport and injury prevention are the key areas of my rehabilitation principle. I am also evaluating shockwave as a treatment modality for certain conditions eg Achilles tendinopathy. The research is still emerging but it is rapidly becoming the treatment of choice due to early symptom relief and being a non invasive treatment.
I have special interest in musculoskeletal and sports injuries. I have also worked with orthopaedic surgeons in both trauma and planned surgery.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Prashant Meshram at Spire include:
