Professional profile

I am a reputable Surrey based Consultant Dermatologist, whose passion for dermatology started when I was a fourth year medical student. I graduated from the University of Nottingham Medical School in 2006. After postgraduate training in general medicine and obtaining Membership of the Royal College of Physicians UK, I completed rigorous specialist training in Dermatology to become a Consultant Dermatologist. Having worked as a consultant dermatologist in London, I then moved to Surrey. Alongside my private practice, I also work in Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust.

I am a General Dermatologist, with specialist expertise in all skin conditions, looking after adults with skin conditions including acne, blistering/bullous skin conditions, dermatitis, eczema, hidradenitis suppurativa, itchy skin/pruritis, psoriasis, rashes and rosacea. I am an expert skin cancer specialist, with a particular interest in the diagnosis and management of skin cancers, pigmented lesions and pre-cancerous lesions, and perform full body/mole checks. I am a core member of the Skin Cancer Multidisciplinary Team and play a key role in the management of skin cancer patients in Surrey. I am a highly skilled skin surgeon and operate on skin lesions including skin cancers, moles, pre-cancerous lesions, non-cancerous lesions, skin tags, lumps and bumps.

In my NHS practice, I am actively involved in teaching and training future dermatologists and GPs. Understanding the importance of evidence based medicine, I am actively involved in global research in dermatology. I continue to participate in national and international conferences and have won several awards for my presentations. I co-authored the renowned Treatment of Skin Disease dermatology textbook and have published articles in leading dermatology journals.

I use the most effective, scientifically proven treatments in my practice. I am non-judgemental, and involve patients in decision making, creating highly personalised treatment plans based on patients' individual needs, beliefs, lifestyle and goals. This ensures that every patient leaves their consultation with a clear understanding of what their problem is and their treatment plan. I fully appreciate how life changing some surgical procedures can be as surgery inevitably carries some degree of scarring, but I use techniques to minimise scarring when skin surgery is needed.

I am passionate about people feeling good about their skin. I can offer correction and specialist management of your skin conditions, as well as the psychological benefits, and improvement to the quality of your life which will come along with better skin.
