I was initially trained in India and then moved to the UK for further training. I have been a Urological Consultant for more than 10 years. I cover most types of urological problems but have chosen cancer, stone and male and female incontinence as my main specialty areas. I also perform vasectomy reversals and general urology. I have brought in some new technology such as Reemex for female incontinence and Urolift procedure for benign prostate hyperplasia.
I have been performing urological surgery in the UK for more than 20 years and as a consultant for more than 10 years. My annual consultant performance data puts me in a good position and my performance has been found to be sa expected nationally and i have out-performed my national peers in some areas.
I am a urological cancer lead and incontincence service lead for the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay Trust and am a Senior Lecturer at the Lancaster Medical School where I also sit on the selection panel for MBBS applicants. I am involved with the training of Junior Doctors and work as an examiner for various examinations involving Junior Doctors. I am also a faculty member of the RCS England and am involved with arranging Basic Surgical Skills courses in our region.
