Professional profile

I have over 10 years as a NHS consultant in gynaecology and am a specialist in Urogynaecology (Problems with Bladder control, continence and Vaginal Prolapse). I have pioneered New Surgical and none-surgical therapies for continence, often making treatment quicker, more confortable and with a shorter recovery time. I represent the Royal college of Obstetrics and gynaecologists in helping NICE (The National Institute of Clinical Excelence) review new surgical techniques in Urogynaecology. At present I am the British Society of Urogynaecology shadow Chair of Clinical audit (Becoming Chair Nov 2011). I regularly audit my work and the results are among the best in the country for low complications, high success rates and high patient satisfaction.

I am the Chair of the Bladder and Bowel Foundation the largest National Charity for continence problems. This is the Charity which advertises on TV encouraging people to seek help for continence problems. I am also the National and International Surgical trainer for a number of surgical companies. I regularly train consultants from all over the world in new surgical techniques.
