I qualified in Poland in 1980. My entire post graduate training was spent in Johannesburg Teaching Hospitals (1984-1991) and then in Leeds Teaching Hospitals (1992-1994). I worked 1994-1995 in Hull, after which I undertook my first consultant's post in Calderdale, at the Royal Halifax Infirmary. Over 40% of men in their 50's and 70% of men in their 60's have benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) that causes the. prostate to enlarge. There are many treatment options available and I am pleased to be able to offer the UroLift®. System treatment which is a minimal invasive approach to treating BPH that lifts and holds the enlarged prostate tissue out of the way so it no longer blocks the urethra. There is no cutting heating or removal of prostate tissue - click on the link for more information about UroLift® System the benefits, risks and recovery period. I also have a keen interest in microsurgical reversal vasectomy which produces better results than the conventional method.
