Mrs Roz Ward
MSc in Rehabilitation Science
I qualified from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2005 with an MSc in Rehabilitation Science. My first graduate job was at St John’s Hospital for three years then I continued to do outpatients in the Community in East Lothian for two years, where I developed back exercise classes in the community and lower limb classes in the hospital setting. I also worked as a Physiotherapist for Division 2 rugby for three years while also working in a private sports injury clinic in East Lothian.
My main clinical interests are spinal rehabilitation, spinal education, manual therapy, soft tissue techniques, sports injuries, Pilates and acupuncture.
I have now been working as a Physiotherapist for 10 years. I worked in the NHS for five and a half years gaining a broad range of experience in large outpatient settings and in community health centres. I then came to work at Murrayfield, treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions in a busy outpatient environment. I have now been working at Spire for five years where I am involved in the Perform spine care programme. I am completing my APPI Pilates this year. I have a Diploma in Orthopaedic Medicine and I am qualified in Acupuncture.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mrs Roz Ward at Spire include:
Outside of work I enjoy horse riding, skiing, swimming and spending time with my two young daughters.
