Graduated in Medicine from University College Cork in 1979. Trained in General Surgery and subsequently in ENT Surgery in Bristol and Edinburgh. Developed interest in medical records and financial accounting in the NHS, having obtained MBA from Edinburgh University in 1981.
Main clinical interest is Rhinology, in particular allergic rhinitis and the management of chronic rhinitis associated with asthma.
