Mr John Allen
MSc in Audiology
I hold an MSc in Audiology and have excellent experience of working with adults and children in both the public and private sectors. I currently combine working privately at Spire Edinburgh Hospitals along with working as a Specialist Audiologist at NHS Lothian.
My main interests are paediatric and adult assessment, diagnosis and treatment of hearing impairment using the latest, highest quality digital hearing aids when necessary. I take a patient-centred, personalised approach to hearing aid fitting based on the individual needs and lifestyle of each patient.
I also have an interest in managing tinnitus and hyperacusis in both adults and children.
At Spire Edinburgh Hospitals, I will see children aged 3 to 16 years old.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr John Allen at Spire include:
Audiology and hearing therapy
A GP or medical referral is required for all outpatient appointments at Spire Edinburgh Hospitals.
