Mr Chris Raeburn
BSc (Hons) Sport & Exercise Science
I qualified as a Personal Trainer in 2003, working in several gyms in Edinburgh and gaining experience with a wide range of clients. I graduated with an honours degree in Sport and Exercise Science in 2007 and joined Spire Healthcare in 2008. Working mainly with back pain patients, I completed a Level 4 Certificate in Exercise for the Management of Low Back Pain to further increase my knowledge in this area in 2011.
My main interest is in strength and conditioning and its application to rehabilitation, with a particular focus on the spine. My interest in strength and conditioning has led me to complete a Post Graduate Diploma (PgDip) in Strength and Conditioning and to qualify as a Performance Enhancement Specialist with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in 2013.
A GP or medical referral is required for all outpatient appointments at Spire Edinburgh Hospitals.
I have interests in a variety of sports and personally enjoy strength training in the gym and martial arts. I also enjoy attempting to play the guitar.
