I qualified as a clinical psychologist in 2007. I am an empathic and motivated practitioner, striving to apply evidence-based approaches to help individuals manage their challenges with physical and mental health.
I currently work with the NHS Lothian Bariatric Service, a post which I have thoroughly enjoyed since 2017. Prior to this, I worked for the NHS Lothian Plastic Surgery Service, in private practice and for a number of years in adult mental health.
I draw from a number of therapeutic models, including Compassion Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Schema Therapy approaches, and apply these flexibly depending on the needs of the client.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Dr Lisa Harrow at Spire include:

I have worked in a number of different settings over the years, and thoroughly enjoy my work as a clinical psychologist. I strongly believe in the importance of human connection and this underpins my approach to therapy. Outside of work, I spend as much time as possible in nature, regardless of the weather!
