Anaesthetics: Pain management
I trained in anaesthesia and pain medicine in London completing my specialist training in 2004. From 2002-2003 I trained at St Mary's Hospital London in the role of Clinical Pain Fellow.
In 2008 I was awarded an inaugural fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine Royal College of Anaesthetists.
I am a member of the British Pain Society and North British Pain Association and have a qualification from the British Medical Acupuncture Society.
I am part of a multidisciplinary team in the Lothian Chronic Pain Service working in outpatient clinics and interventional procedures under ultrasound and X-ray guidance.
Special Clinical Interests: Lower back pain, sciatic pain, neck pain, musculoskeletal pain, headaches (including treatments for migraine), neuropathic pain (nerve pain), post surgical pain problems, myofascial pain syndromes, fibromyalgia, Complex regional Pain Syndromes (CRPS), chronic pain syndromes, medico-legal advice in relation to chronic pain problems as a result of injury and other causes.
