Why choose Spire Dunedin Hospital for cancer diagnosis and treatment?

At Spire Dunedin Hospital we offer tests and scans for cancers including breast and bowel to patients in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Wiltshire, including Reading and Newbury. We've been awarded The Macmillan Quality Environment Mark (MQEM).

We provide cancer treatment in a comfortable, caring environment in a purpose-built facility designed around the needs of patients undergoing chemotherapy.

Each patient is treated in the privacy of their own room known as a 'POD'. Each POD includes a TV and WiFi access. Refreshments are freely available for both patients and their families together with a light meal for all patients.

The oncologists and haematologists are supported by an oncology nurse consultant and a team of dedicated, specially trained nurses, allowing to offer our patients an excellent level of support that includes:

  • 24 hour emergency hospital contact number for all patients undergoing chemotherapy
  • Breast cancer support nurse on site
  • Access to other cancer specific nurses based at Royal Berkshire Hospital
  • Monthly support meetings for breast cancer patients
