Breast uplift surgery: what to expect at Spire Dunedin Hospital

Spire Dunedin Hospital is a well-established private hospital and we take pride in delivering a high standard of care to our patients in Reading and the surrounding Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire areas. We have a choice of cosmetic surgeons who are experienced in breast uplift techniques to reshape breasts without altering their size.

There are a range of techniques available which involve repositioning of the nipple and available breast tissue. An implant may be recommended to restore volume to the upper part of the breast and it could also be a good opportunity to correct any asymmetry in the breast tissue.

Preparing for breast uplift surgery at Spire Dunedin Hospital

Getting here

Spire Dunedin Hospital is conveniently situated close to the heart of Reading, on the A4 Bath Road. We’re a short walk from Reading West station and a 10 minute taxi ride from Reading mainline station, with direct trains to and from London. Your consultations

Once you’ve made an enquiry, we can arrange for you to meet with one of our cosmetic surgeons in a private consultation room – usually within a few days. There’ll be a chance to discuss your reasons for having treatment, as well as your medical history. Your consultant will explain what will happen during the procedure, including the type of anaesthetic you'll have. They may also need you to have a pre-operative assessment.

You can also find out more about:

  • The risks and complications
  • Any tests you may need to have before surgery
  • How the medical team will support your recovery and aftercare

Your consultant will explain that there’s no pressure to make any decisions during the appointment. Even if you’re confident you want to go ahead, there’s plenty of time to change your mind during the two week cooling-off period.

It's therefore important that you inform your surgical team if you have any allergies or issues with certain drugs.
