Spire Dunedin Hospital becomes a Macmillan awarded Quality Environment

31 October 2013

The Oncology team at Spire Dunedin Hospital receives MQEM accreditation.

The Macmillan Quality Environment Mark (MQEM) is a detailed quality framework used for assessing whether cancer care environments meet the standards required by people living with cancer.  It is the first assessment tool of its kind in the UK.

In July 2013, Spire Dunedin Hospital became the only independent provider to be successful in obtaining the award this year and one of only a few independent hospitals nationwide in the last 3 years.

Dunedin was awarded the highest score possible of 5.
