Thinking about cosmetic surgery? Come and join us on 28 March.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Seb Sturridge at Spire include:
I offer a sensible opinion on painful joints and joint replacements based on experience gained training in units in London, South Africa, Australia and America. I see young adults presenting with groin and hip pain often related to sports, patients requiring joint replacement, and those who’s joint replacement has eventually failed and needs revising. I use minimally invasive surgical techniques as part of a rapid recovery protocol, and implants and bearing surfaces with a proven track record to optimize longevity.
I was appointed a consultant at Frimley Park Hospital in 2010. I am a hip & knee surgeon, but have developed subspecialist interests in Hip Arthroscopy & Replacement. Since my appointment I have developed a fellowship for higher surgical trainees looking to develop subspecialist skills prior to consultant appointment, and I am currently involved in several research projects including the national ‘FASHIoN Trial’.
I was born in London, educated at Ampleforth College and studied medicine at University College London. I was a research fellow at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore and went on to higher surgical training through Guy's, St. Thomas' and King's Hospitals. I was fellowship trained in hip & knee surgery in Melbourne, Australia and then at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Stanmore. I was appointed the Guy's Hip Fellow in 2010 where I developed my interest in young adult hip surgery and minimally invasive surgery techniques.
I have published and lectured on hip & knee surgery internationally, and continue to review papers for the The Bone & Joint Journal. I sit on the South East Thames Specialist Training Committee & continues to teach and examine the higher surgical trainees in the region.

I grew up and trained in London where I met my wife Lydia, who is a cardiologist also at Spire Clare Park Hospital. We have two small children who keep us busy taxiing them to and from Cricket and Rugby, and walking the ‘Surrey Hills’.Back to top
