Staff nurse gets set to run the Virgin London Marathon to raise money for ‘Beating Bowel Cancer’

03 March 2015

Chris Campey, a senior staff nurse at Spire Cheshire Hospital, is taking part in the Virgin London Marathon on Sunday 26th April 2015 in memory of her husband Nick Campey

Chris said: "My husband Nick Campey died on 7th July 2014 at home. He was a positive, kind and gentle man and even though he was dealt a cruel set of cards he never complained.

"My colleagues at Spire Cheshire have become more like a family to me and I know he would be very happy to see me settled back at work.

"Life goes on and I am asking people to support me in my quest to run - or rather jog! - the Virgin London Marathon and raise as much money as I can for ‘Beating Bowel Cancer’.

"Please visit my JustGiving page where you can donate online. JustGiving will send your donation straight to Beating Bowel Cancer and it automatically reclaims Gift Aid if you are a UK taxpayer, so your donation will be worth even more.”
