I am a UK-trained consultant dermatologist on the GMC Specialist Register. I was previously a consultant dermatologist at the University Hospitals of Manchester NHS Foundation Trust.
I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Liverpool and graduated with an Honours degree in Medicine and Surgery in 2007. I then underwent general medical training and pursued my dermatology higher specialist training in Birmingham and Manchester. I have completed two advanced dermatology fellowships in Oxford, the UK and Sydney, Australia. In addition, I have gained further experience in medical and cosmetic dermatology at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, and the Cosmetic Surgery and Skin Health Centre, Pittsburgh, USA. I have also completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Aesthetic Medicine with Distinction at the University of London.
I currently sit on the British Association of Dermatologists’ Therapy and Guidelines Subcommittee, contributing to the national guidelines on treatments for skin conditions. I am also a founding Committee Member of the British Society for Medical Dermatology and British Association of Dermatologists’ DermSchool. I enjoy teaching and regularly deliver dermatology and aesthetic training to doctors and nurses.
I have written the following books - “Dermatology: a handbook for medical students and junior doctors” and “Dermatology: a handbook for general practitioners”, and authored book chapters. I have presented at many national and international conferences, and I have had publications in the fields of cosmetic, medical and surgical dermatology in international peer-reviewed journals.
