Professional profile

I have gained an extensive experience in patients with sports injuries and arthritis. I believe that each patient should be prescribed a personalised package of care and treatment programme. I have a keen interest in sport and have been the match orthopaedic surgeon for first class rugby internationals, and I'm a regular motor sport doctor at Silverstone for the Formula One British Grand Prix.

I am a university lecturer in Cambridge and Honorary consultant knee and hip surgeon working at Addenbrooke's. I undertook my research MD and orthopaedic surgical training in Oxford. I have a specialist knee and hip 'Sports and Joints' fellowship in Melbourne with the Melbourne Orthopaedic Group.

I co-founded OSSA Orthopaedic Specialist Surgeons Allicance providing a holistic team approach to independent orthopaedic treatment.

I am actively involved in research and education and lectures locally, nationally and internationally. I'm a reviewer for the Bone and Joint Journal and The Knee. I have developed the undergraduate orthopaedic curriculum, inspiring orthopaedic medical students to be orthopaedic surgeons of the future.
