Professor David S Holder
MA (Cantab), MA (Berkeley), PhD, MRCP
I have a dual training in Medicine and Neurology, and also Biophysics. I am a Professor of Biophysics and Consultant in Clinical Neurophysiology at UCL Hospitals, London. I travel to Leicester once a fortnight to undertake tests in clinical neurophysiology, which are EEG (brainwave recording) EMG and nerve conduction studies (tests of muscle and nerve function).
I use the latest electronic equipment, all tests are reported immediately and available electronically. As well as being a consultant at UCLH, I run an inter-disciplinary research group, developing new methods of measuring brain and nerve function.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Professor David S Holder at Spire include:
Spire Bushey Hospital is only able to provide Covid-19 tests to patients undergoing surgery at our hospital. Covid-19 testing or antibody tests are not available as a standalone service.
