Mr Asif Muneer is a Consultant Urological Surgeon with a specialist interest in andrology. He has an NHS practice based at University College London Hospital and is also Honorary Senior Lecturer at University College London (UCL). He completed his higher degree (MD) at UCL investigating the physiology of smooth muscle dysfunction.
Mr Muneer has published widely on all aspects of urology with over 100 peer reviewed publications. He has co-edited four books, Viva Practice for the FRCS (Urol),Textbook of Penile Cancer, Atlas of Male Genitourethral Surgery and recently Prosthetic Surgery in Urology. As well as lecturing to trainee surgeons, Mr Muneer lectures throughout the UK and is involved in teaching at international surgical masterclasses and the Royal College of Surgeons' Core Surgical Skills Course. He regularly reviews for a number of urology publications and is an assistant editor for a quarterly urology journal. He is President of the British Society for Sexual Medicine and Chair of the BAUS Andrology Section and is currently part of the executive commitee of the British Andrology Society.
