I am consultant cardiologist, based at the Bristol Royal Infirmary. I am Subspecialty Lead for Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) and Obstetric Cardiology. I have a particular interest in inherited cardiac conditions, such as cardiomyopathies and Marfan's syndrome. I am a specialist in heart ultrasound (echocardiography) and am British Society of Echocardiography accredited in both Transthoracic and Transoesophageal Echocardiography.
I offer an individualised and holistic approach to patient care and am passionate about high quality care for my patients and spreading knowledge in ACHD and Heart Disease in Pregnancy through regional teaching for cardiologists, which I run in the South West. I also teach at a National Level in my specialist fields and have published in these areas and in heart failure.
I trained in Edinburgh, London, Cardiff and Bristol and completed my Research Doctorate at Imperial College in London.
I offer a range of service, which include; out-patient consultations, a full range of non-invasive cardiology investigations, routine and complex Transthoracic Echocardiography with same day reporting, and Transoesophageal Echocardiography with same day reporting.
