I graduated from the University of Wales with Honours and I trained in General Medicine and subsequently Clinical Oncology in UK and Greece. During my Oncology training, I obtained an MSc in Public Health/Health Services Management.
In my first consultant post in Scotland, I specialised in Lower GI, Breast and Gynaecological malignancies, with special interests in HDR Gynae Brachytherapy, but I was also involved in Medical Education (Honorary Senior Lecturer Dundee University), clinical trials and worked as Vice Chair at the East of Scotland Research Ethics Committee. I joined the RUH in July 2013 where I currently specialise in Gynaecological, Urological and Brain malignancies.
My special clinical interests include Modern Radiotherapy Techniques (IMRT, IGRT), Prostate Brachytherapy and Late Effects of Pelvic Radiotherapy. I am actively involved in Medical Education (Honorary Senior Lecturer Bristol University) and I am the Clinical Governance Lead for Oncology/Hematology at the RUH.
