I am a consultant ophthalmic surgeon in London at St Thomas' Hospital and the Evelina Children's Hospital. I sub-specialised in paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at Great Ormond Street Hospital and then practised as a consultant in South America for ten years where I was the head of the department of ophthalmology at a teaching children's hospital. I was appointed associate professor of two universities there. I have been a consultant in the UK since 2001.
My main specialty is paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus and phacoemulsification surgery. I have broad experience in ocular trauma and retinopathy of prematurity. I have also published important papers and contributed to outstanding medical books, ie chapters for David Taylor's 'Paediatric Ophthalmology'.
