Professional profile

After receiving higher surgical training in urology at various institutions in India (including All India Institute of Medical Sciences) and UK (London and the South East including the Institute of Urology & Nephrology), I worked as a consultant urological surgeon in the NHS for 26 years, which included more than 20 years at Medway Maritime Hospital, Kent. Currently my primary place for private consultation is at Spire Alexandra Hospital, Walderslade, Kent. Established a comprehensive Urology Department at Medway, which is now West Kent Urological Cancer Centre for Urology. Established Medway as one of the centres in the UK offering patients Orthotopic Bladder Reconstruction (Neobladder) after Radical Cystectomy (Bladder Removal for malignancy)

My practice encompasses all aspects of urology. I have a special interest in urological cancer and male infertility and have undertaken more than 300 vasectomy reversals

I have written a book entitled Kashmir in Sickness and in Health, which was published in September 2013. I am currently working on a book entitled, The Tiger Country, which is a compilation of interesting factual stories about the world of surgery and surgeons.
