As a returning patient who had previously experienced outstanding care at Spire Manchester Hospital in Whalley Range I was concerned that the ‘family feel’ of the hospital would be lost when they moved to Didsbury. I needn’t have worried as when I arrived at the new hospital I was delighted to see the same staff who remembered me after my previous visits and I soon realised that the new hospital had retained that special feel. To me a hospital is more than the building and the amazing equipment; it’s the exceptional people who are looking after you.

I cannot praise the staff highly enough and it would be unfair to single any one person out. The nurses, theatre team, catering assistants, housekeepers, physiotherapists, receptionists, porters, radiology staff and members of the management team have all shown such kindness and respect. Everyone is friendly without being overfamiliar and they have earnt my absolute trust due to the quiet confidence they demonstrate whilst carrying out their work.

I have also been impressed with the new hospital which is bright and airy. The paediatric ward is fabulous and the day care ward has been cleverly designed with rooms that make you feel cared for and cocooned without feeling like you’ve been admitted to the hospital for a long stay.

The new location in Didsbury is much more convenient for me and I would have no hesitation in recommending Spire Manchester Hospital to anybody.
