Patricia Saxton, Cataract Removal in both eyes with Mr Chung

Patricia, 71, from Barnsley first discovered her symptoms in December 2016. After her symptoms became suddenly more noticeable Patricia went to her opticians for an eye test, where she was alarmed at the speed that her eye sight had deteriorated. The opticians told Patricia that cataract removal was the only option.

After already having an operation at Spire Methley Park Hospital in 2013 Patricia was happy to use the hospital again.

In the initial consultation Patricia was given a thorough eye examination and then given a date for the first operation.

“The staff work hard at making you feel comfortable. From the moment I arrived on both occasions I was well looked after and kept fully informed.”

During the recovery back at home “Everything was fine. My eyesight was so much clearer the next morning it was unbelievable.”

At the follow up appointment “I had another eye test and told that the operation(s) had been successful.”

Patricia now feels “Absolutely fine. It is so good to be able to see clearly again.”

Patricia’s advice to other considering the same surgery – “I’d tell them not to hesitate!”
