I chose Spire Harpenden as an NHS patient based on my experience there as a private patient some years ago. From start to finish the care was outstanding. Brilliant staff, especially Mira, who was my nurse for a large part of my stay. Food choices lovely and important to me, a range of gluten free choices. Treated like an individual the whole time. Thank you. As a medical secretary I refer patients direct to Mr Parmar. It was nice to see him in person. He spoke clearly explaining all that needed to be done. On the day of the operation he came to see me and visited every day after. I think this is very reassuring for the patient as you then don't feel like just a hospital number. A colleague of mine at the GP Surgery where I work had Mr Parmar do a hip replacement for her and she is doing really well. I would recommend Mr Parmar to family and colleagues. Mira the Sister on Ambrose ward was my main nurse. She was professional, dedicated but really funny. We shared a few laughs. The nursing team on my ward were outstanding and nothing was too much trouble.
