There is a lovely atmosphere at the Spire, from the minute I enter the building I feel relaxed not anxious like I normally do in hospitals. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and are so kind when you tell them you are feeling nervous about the procedure etcetera. My experience was fantastic and all nursing staff and my consultant were fantastic.
I couldn't fault Dr Mead in any way. My initial appointment with him was brilliant, very informative and he had so much time for me. He seemed to genuinely care how I felt and what I wanted to achieve from my visit. He explained everything in a way that I could understand and advised what treatment I should have, but did not pressure me in any way. It was entirely my own choice. On the day of my procedure I was very nervous when I entered the endoscopy room, but Dr Mead immediately made me feel at ease and explained what would happen etcetera. He even talked to me about my nail varnish to distract my mind from what was about to happen. He visited me after the procedure and again was very polite and kind. I would have no issue recommending him to anyone. Dr Mead is a fantastic consultant, has so much time for you and never makes you feel rushed in any way. He is very calming and makes you feel you are in good hands. I would recommend him to any friend or family member who required similar treatment.
