Free online event on Endometriosis with Gynaecologist, Mr Oliver O'Donovan

Free patient information evening on life with endometriosis

Concerned that your pain, heavy periods or problems falling pregnant might be related to endometriosis? Wondering how to find out, and how it can be treated? Consultant Gynaecologist, Mr Oliver O’Donovan will answer these questions at our online endometriosis evening.

1 in 10 women have endometriosis. Symptoms such as pain and difficulty falling pregnant can have a hugely detrimental effect on the lives of women and those around them. Diagnosis can be difficult, with studies suggesting the average time from the onset of symptoms to diagnosis is more than 7 years. There is no “cure”, and finding a way to treat the disease or manage the symptoms can be challenging and require specialist expertise. Find out answers to questions like these:

  • What is endometriosis?
  • What problems can it cause?
  • How can it be diagnosed?
  • What lifestyle changes might help?
  • What medical treatments might help?
  • What surgical treatments might help?
  • What can be done to help women with endometriosis have a baby?

Mr O'Donovan will also be very happy to field a Q&A session at the end.

The event will hosted via Zoom. You will be sent an event link to access the event when you register for the event.

Zoom is a video conferencing service for hosting live virtual meetings. Zoom can be used from a computer, mobile or tablet. You don’t need a Zoom account to attend a virtual patient event.
