I trained at University of Sheffield Medical School. I developed the Sheffield Ring Fixator for dealing with difficult fractures and limb deformities, it is patented and commercially manufactured by Orthofix SRL and distributed all over the world. I am an acknowledged world authority in lower limb fracture management, adult and paediatric limb lengthening/reconstruction, deformity correction, external fixation and amputation surgery.
I have personally performed 3000 index procedures carefully documented over 16 years as a teaching hospital consultant in adult and paediatric orthopaedics. I have some 250 publications in this field.
