Penny graduated from The London Hospital Whitechapel with a BSc (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy from the North East London Polytechnic in 1988. She was previously a qualified orthopaedic nurse prior to her physiotherapy training. As a Specialist in Womens Health since 1992, she completed the full Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy course (formely ACPWH) in 1995. Penny has worked in the Hastings, Eastbourne and Rye area in the NHS and privately with Spire since they opened. She therefore has many years of experience in the Womens Health field.
Penny is the southern area tutor for the POGP course for any new physiotherapists wishing to specialise in the field. The main areas she treats are incontinence, prolapse and obstetric musculoskeletal disorders, including male urology and bladder problems, for example prostate cancer.
Penny has undergone many courses in the Womens Health area since obtaining her qualifications, more recently in particular acupuncture and prostate cancer care.
