I am a Senior Accredited BACP Counsellor and Psychotherapist and have been in clinical practice for over 17 years. I have extensive training and experience in effectively treating a wide range of psychological problems and have worked within many different healthcare settings including the NHS, private health organisations, charities including MIND and Employee Assisted Programmes.
I work integratively, drawing on my training and experience in Person Centred Therapy, Mindfulness Based Approaches, Hypnotherapy, CBT and Relaxation techniques to help my clients meet their goals in therapy. This may often involve processing difficult emotions and life events together with building effective resources that clients can take forward in strengthening and cultivating their emotional resilience.
My areas of specialism include working with Weight Management and those affected by Eating Disorders, Binge-Eating, Comfort-Eating, Over-Eating and Compulsive Eating. I am passionate about helping my clients to cultivate a healthy relationship with food and eating and also how they relate to their bodies. I have worked within a Pre-Bariatric service, providing psychological support in helping clients to develop healthy changes to eating patterns and behaviours, both in preparation for surgery and also following surgery. I have also worked within an Inpatient Unit for Eating Disorders (primarily Anorexia Nervosa) and an Outpatient Department, helping clients with a wide range of eating difficulties.

I love being out in nature, whether it be playing golf or tennis or walking my dogs on the beach or in the countryside. I have personally experienced the great benefits of mindfulness and consequently practice daily as well as yoga.Back to top
