I am a Consultant Urological and Robotic Surgeon at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust, I am also a visiting consultant at Tameside, Macclesfield and Leighton Hospitals. I am trained in general urology and sub-specialised in pelvic oncology (prostate and bladder cancer) and robotic surgery. I am able to offer complex urological cancer management, particularly using robotic technique.
I trained in London, Manchester and Australia. I completed my specialist urological surgery training in the North West Deanery of England and developed my urological oncology expertise in open and minimal invasive surgical skills (laparoscopic and robotic), by training in some of the world’s most renowned and high volume urology cancer centers in the UK including The Christie Hospital and Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. I became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and received my certificate of completion of training in Urology in the UK.
I further developed my robotic surgery skills with a dedicated one-year Da Vinci Robotic Surgery Fellowship at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre), Melbourne, Australia. I also spent time in Belgium and completed the European Robotic Urology Section (ERUS) certified Robotic Radical Prostatectomy Curriculum. I subsequently practiced as a Urologist at The Canberra Hospital, Australia, where I provided general urology and complex urological cancer surgical service.
I have won multiple awards including the Ethicon Foundation Travelling Fund, The Urology Foundation clinical visit fund and Prostate Cancer UK education bursary.
I am active in academic research and have over 50 publications and presentations (peer reviewed journals, book chapters, conferences presentations). I am also a journal reviewer for a number of international Urology journals.
